Speed test failure

The speed test in this app no longer works. It will start and then randomly it will bounce you back to the main app. The speed test was all I used this for, so it is now useless to me.

Amazing app

This is a great app to learn japanese, it has a clean design and a very simple and ease interface :)

Awesome app!

This app is great for Japanese class!

Decent

I honestly wouldnt recommend this app for beginners starting out with just hiragana. Its very basic and a little difficult to use. For example, I cant even figure out where the writing practice is. Its useful, but there are so many other free apps out there that are just as good, if not better, for basic hiragana practice.

Best app for Kana

By far the best and cleanest app for studying all your Kana

im lazy but...

if you want a handy dandy little study tool, this is for you. its cool.

Amazing, Useful, Well-Designed, Supported App!

I LOVE this app. I have been using it on both, my iPhone and iPad, and it is incredibly efficient. I have not tried other かな (kana) apps because I have not had the need. Everything I need is here including continuous support for new Apple devices. I love the way it is uncluttered and it focuses on what I want to learn: kana. The only things I could point out that I am not too fond of are that the kana animations and the font type style are not the same and that the new test is really slow paced—maybe it was done this way on purpose? Still, this is a serious, superior app and it deserves its five stars nonetheless. ありがとうございます。

Awesome for Anyone Learning Japanese

As a student learning Japanese is college, this app is absolutely the best Ive seen. It covers hiragana and katakana. I love the tests on speed and stroke order. As an added bonus it even has a dictionary. Very thorough app. Definite buy!

Really great! Best Kana tool on iOS.

One of the only apps that teaches both Hiragana and Katakana. The methods of testing are also very thorough - other apps dont test your speed or stroke order, and Ive found both to be incredibly useful. You can also test yourself on Hiragana and Katakana at the same time, which is nice. Being timed on recognition REALLY helps reading speed, and it keeps you conscious on how instinctively youre able to recognize characters. Likewise, being tested on stroke order makes writing a lot easier to tackle. (and by writing the characters, its much easier to memorize them more thoroughly) I will say, however, that using iKana in conjunction with other kana apps would be very wise. There are certain (very popular) apps out there that encourage memorization through association with familiar pictures and phrases, and I suggest using them as well. A+ app.

Great app

I love that this app is getting me back in the habit of learning stroke order and the kana themselves. The only suggestion I would make is to be able to switch to the next kana from the writing practice, instead of having to go back to the menu and choose a new kana and then clicking on the writing practice. Maybe even make a standalone writing practice section.

Amazing!

I learned all my hirigana in just a few hours with this app! It works awesomely!

Best kana app out there

Best kana app, the support also is amazing, instant reply and cares the users. Thanks.

Almost...

I would give this a 5 star and recommend the app to friends, but I cant. The reason is because you cant test the cards in rōmaji. I like to practice writing, so I dont want the answer already given to me. Card should be able to be study both ways
